2008 MSF-BIG Golf Tournament

The Amendoeira Golf Resort, in Silves, hosted a golf tournament organised by MSF and BIG in Oceânico Faldo and O’Connor golf courses, during the first weekend of October. 

About 90 golfers participated the 2 day event. On the 4th, golfers had the opportunity of inaugurating the Oceânico O’Connor Junior Golf Course, which extends through a fertile valley, with strategically positioned and challenging lakes and bunkers. Lunch took place at the Way Point restaurant, in Marina de Lagos, giving players the chance to exchange opinions about the sports event. Most of the players stayed at the tournament’s official hotel, the Marina Club****.

On Sunday, the 5th, the tournament proceeded with shotgun starts on Oceânico Faldo Course, which is set in a bumpy terrain and connects the two most elevated points of the resort. Meanwhile, a golf clinic was held for guests, followed by lunch and prize giving at the resort’s Club House.

All players and guests acclaimed the 2008 MSF-BIG Golf Tournament, supported by the Commerzbank, Mercedes, Saraiva & Associados Arquitectura e Urbanismo, Mercedes and Pictet Funds.
