Carnival dinghy race in Marina de Lagos

Marina de Lagos will host the first edition of a very original boat trace on Carnival Day. It is a rowing competition in dinghies, small pneumatic boats, maneuvered by the Marina’s guests between the pedestrian bridge and the Boa Esperança caravel.

The public can watch from very close, either on the Marina or town side of the canal, and enjoy the crews’ costumes and boat theme decoration.

With 2 crew per dinghy, the event will be run in knock-out series of 4 boats, first 2 qualifying for the next round, until the final. There will be prizes for the first 4 crews, as well as for the best costume and dinghy decoration.
