Carnival parade & race

The carnival parade & race took place on the 4th February.

The 2008 event was special because of the presence of 11 youngsters from the Lucinda Anino dos Santos social centre, invited to be on board participating yachts. The kindness of the 10 participating yachts was most appreciated.

The boats paraded along the canal and, right after that, a small race took place, won by Rob & Julia’s “Annecy”, with Paul Kent’s “Sula” coming second and Rob Dennis’s “D&D” coming third. “Dayspring” and the 5 Noddys won the prize for best decoration/costume!

Prizes, drinks and some snacks were given at Way Point restaurant, in the Marina
The success of this event was, once more, due to the co-operation and cheerfulness of all involved, and also to the important support of Southwest Charters, Clube de Vela de Lagos and Dolphin Seafaris.
